Let me just say, no no no I’m not getting divorced. (no matter what I said here)
But
If I was, I would love it to be amicable and cooperative. I feel like John and I would be great coparents because we were good friends before we were in a relationship and we both love Ro and Kai more than anything. We’d make it work.
I’d actually love to have a divorce lifestyle like the couple on ABC’s new show Splitting Up Together. It stars my boothang Oliver Hudson (who I loved as the bad guy in Nashville) and my friend in my head Jenna Fisher (Don’t you just wanna go out for drinks with that woman?). They are going through a divorce and converted the garage into a studio apartment and switch weeks being the “in the house” parent.
I’d love a week on and a week off of parenting! I wonder if I could make it work without having to get divorced first. I’ll put a pin in that.
The show is so cute and funny and has a great supporting cast. The kids are funny, and not annoying like TV kids can be. The friends of the couple are super funny, and so is the Aunt character. You’ll enjoy her. She is all of us. It’s a touching show in between all the funnies too.
At the ABC TV Event I attended in February, I got to meet some of the cast!
