Kaya on the screen door

Kaya is 14 months tomorrow. Can you believe that?  My big girl is walking, and trying to run!!! She’s climbing on everything and loves to rip stuff up and throw things around. She says hello and byebye now. I need her to start saying Mama though.

Her 1 year appointment had her at 98% for height, and 86% for weight. Her doctor said she’s the size of an average 20 month old. My lil amazonian girl!

So Kaya’s eating table food and still getting bottles. (full disclosure: the nipples are like straws at this point, the hole is so huge) She won’t eat veggies from me other than sweet potatoes. I was pureeing green veggies to mix in her cereal and putting it in a bottle, a concoction we have nicknamed “nourishment” in our family.

nourishment fixins

Nourishment consists of: almond milk, oatmeal, a banana, and veggies, blended up and popped in a bottle for Kai. Now that I don’t have the same time as I did with ro, I slowed down on pureeing the veggies and freezing them in lil ice cube trays. Now I mostly buy jarred veggie purees to tide me over. I use Beech-Nut Organics and honestly, I first picked it up because of how it looked. (does that make me superficial? LMAO)

It looked real! You know when you puree veggies, how it’s not exactly 100% smooth, it’s got a lil texture and you can tell there’s a large water content… Well, that’s how the Beech Nut Organics looks. It looks like I just pureed it. And the taste is on point.  I like that the jar says “Just peas, green beans and zucchini” (also I love the cute shape of the jars but that’s separate)

There are really interesting flavors, and hopefully some of them come to our grocery store, but honestly, I usually buy the Zucchini/Green Beans combo.  That’s the one Kaya likes best in her purees. She still refuses to eat veggies, but when popped in her “nourishment” bottle, she chugs it down.

She enjoys the fruit purees a  lot though. Apple Kiwi is her fave sweet puree. It’s a nice change of pace from her usual apple sauce snack. So of course I have to buy double the fruit flavors because if Kaya has something, Rohan has to have it too. #toddlersareannoying

I tried Beech Nut Organics during last year’s Type-A Parent Conference. If I ever have another little one, it’ll be on my grocery list for sure.

I don’t have any little ones, but my little 1 year old cousin would probably love the Sweet Potato, Orange and Pineapple.

I love the shape of the jars too! 🙂

Oooo I would love to try the Sweet Potato, Orange & Pineapple flavor. Sounds Yummy. Is it a shame that I would eat up all my sons banana baby food when he was a toddler? I know – Bad Mommy!!

I don’t have any kids myself, but I have a new niece coming so my brother and his girlfriend will definitely benefit from it. I like the sweet flavor like the sweet potato, pineapple, and orange.

I cracked all the way up at the nipple holes looking like straws!!! I have 3 kids so I’m too familiar with that. I like that it looks like puree’d food. My Khloe would love the Apple, Zucchini & squash

While I don’t have any kids, yet. I’m sure my two year old cousin might enjoy these with her meals as she doesn’t eat much veggies/fruit. I’m sure she’d love to try Apple & Kiwi or Raspberry, Apple & Beets.

The Sweet Potato, Orange and Pineapple sounds yummy! It’s terrible I could never feed my little ones combos I wouldn’t personally eat myself so I’m loving that the ones on their site all sound appealing!

I am in awe at some of these Beech Nut selections: kiwi, zucchini, squash–baby food has certainly gotten fancy. I want some–and I’m not even a baby.

Totally the sweet potato, orange, and pineapple. When my girls were babies they love sweet potato and any fruit flavored foods. Anyway to get them to eat their veggies is always a plus in my book.

The raspberry, apple and beet & sweet potato, orange & pineapple looks and sounds like it would be yummy. I’m done with the baby stages but I have a niece, actually she is my great niece but I’m only 35 so lets stick with niece. She is only 2 months and still rather shinny like a new penny. I want her to have nothing but the best an I bet her greedy self would love these.

The shape of the jars are too cut, but is it wrong that I want to try the mango, papaya, & kiwi one myself? Don’t judge me!
