I’m psyched to be partnering with She Speaks and P&G to let you all know about their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

You guys already know what a place breast cancer awareness holds in my life. I told you about my Aunt Shirley and that most of my aunts had to deal with that filthy demon called cancer.

One in Eight women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. Those are some crappy odds. Since my family has such a history, I have to start getting mammograms like…yesterday… instead of waiting until 40. Boo.

But hey, it’s all about early detection. It increases your survival rate!

The P&G Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign has teamed up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help educate us all about the importance of early detection.

If you detect cancer early enough, while still local, the survival rate is 98%.

Guess what…there’s an app for that!

The app helps you create your own early detection plan with tutorials on how to do self exams and a scheduler for exams and doctor visits.

How handy!?

Join the Twitter Party!
We’ll be chatting with @PGeveryday and special guest @CoreyWootton about the importance of creating an early detection plan, and rallying the women in your life to do the same.
