Dear Wedding Day,
I’m so happy you’re here!! I’m sure you’re going to be very special and memorable and I’m excited to see how you play out. I’ve had a lot of anxiety about you, and was unhappily planning a very different version of you, but it seems you worked yourself out perfectly to fit John and me to a T. Thank you.
I have one request, wedding day, please go slow. If you wouldn’t mind just altering yourself so each minute has 80 seconds or something, I’d really appreciate it. I’d hate for you to zoom by in a blur. But just in case you do, there will be tons of photos taken, and video too.
I’m prepared for you. I have a time table….I dunno if it’ll work out this way, but it feels good having a plan.
9:00 – breakfast alone with John
11:00 – pick up bouquet and boutinere (or loose flowers to wrap and pin)
12:00 – makeup and hair folks arrive to make me pretty
1:30 – Mommy helps me with dressing
2:00 – Kasey comes and shoots John and I around the Strip
3:45 – Limo comes to take John and I to the Valley of Fire
5:00 – Wedding Ceremony followed by photos in the Valley of Fire
7:30 – Dinner at Mix with my Husband, Mom, Dad, Garrison (brother), Mary (MIL), Tom (BIL) and Julie (SIL)
Please work out somehow close to that for me, OK wedding day? It’s just really important to me, because I’m thinking it’s going to be one of (if not THE) best days of my life, so I kinda want it to be smooth. If something crazy happens, I won’t hold it against you. I know whatever goes down, I’ll be content because I’ll have the man of my dreams by my side throughout it all. I’m so excited!
