Fit Fridays: *GASP* A Bikini & Cruise Edition

FitFridays

Well, I already told you I didn’t make my goal of being bikini ready by vacation time so.. Booo.

BUT

I wore that thang anyway!

(This was a thumbs up to john for me getting into that cold ass water. I didn’t go too much farther in either)

 Bikini

I put on my one piece before I left the cabin, and was dressed to go, then said F it and popped this orange number on. Since I was about…I dunno…10 yrs old maybe, I’ve worn a one-piece swimsuit exactly twice. Both times were last August when I had my baby swimming for the first time, lol. I’m guessing the next time I wear it is when I take my next baby to FL to visit family.

My low carbing really helped me feel comfy enough to bare the belly. It makes me feel so much less bloated and cuts my appetite and desire for sweets. Things I do try that are sweet like fruit or the occasional (no sugar added) ice-cream taste SUPER sweet to me now.

Cruise

On the cruise I started low carb…I really did…but the second half of the week…maaaaaaaan. Listen. Let me just say this. You’re allowed to order one of every dessert if you want to. #justsayin #notthatwedid #okwetotallydid #andthensome

Cruise week I worked out twice. One was a simple mile run and felt like nothing. One was a boot camp class on the ship and it was just OK. I left the class feeling let down but the following day I had sliiiight soreness and that made me happy.

Now

This past week back home the low carb train is back on her track, but the exercise train… is out of service lol. I’m starting back today with my dear friend Jillian and her 20 minute workouts and my beloved Fitness Blender.

I hope your fitness and healthy eating plans have been on track. Summer’s fast approaching…it’s nekkid season. Gotta tighten up! 🙂

    Good for you Dani! Seriously though..you look fabulous!! I’m still rocking the one piece!! But I hope by fall I’ll be as brave as you!! I don’t know if I have the strength to cut out carbs. 🙁 I love me the pasta…
