Welcome back!! Have you signed up for the FREE 5-Day Manifesting Breakthrough Challenge?! .

I think it’s the beginning of the end.  John and I have hit date night rock bottom. I blame our efforts to save money….but laziness has got to be to blame as well.

We used to have date nights where we got gussied up, and went out to eat somewhere nice and see a movie or play.

Then we didn’t get dressed up and went to casual spots to eat n drink.

Then we just cooked a special meal for each other or ordered in and spent the night chatting in the house and watching a movie.

Then we just ate any old thing together and watched a movie on the couch snuggled together.

Now, our date nights are….”Hey I have Boardwalk Empire queued up, let’s watch.”  .. “umm…ok”…  And then we sit on different couches eating different meals watching a show…that I end up falling asleep on.

🙁

How do I get a real date night back? Any cheap or free date night ideas for me?

I’m still trying to get mine started. My date nights, turn into family days, cause night time comes and I’m too tired to enjoy it.

One thing that you could try and do is see what events are happening in your area that are free of charge. You never know what you may find.

My hubs and I we try to have date nights as often as we can–which isn’t very often thanks to two kids. One way we do it to cut costs and time (usually can’t be away from the house for hrs & hrs unfortunately) is we get spruced up a bit and go out to nice places for drinks and dessert!

I wish I could help you. We used to have a standing Friday date night. Having a baby shut that down. Mostly because we don’t have any family around to hang out with the baby. As for you, I’d say hit up some of the Groupon type sites. They always have deals on things to try that I’d never thought of and it works with the saving money thing too!

Um, there’s something wrong with your current Date Nights? You mean Date Night is supposed to be more than watching True Blood re-runs while sitting on different couches? Hmm.

we have date nights like that too! but we mix it up! so some nights are just like the one you mentioned, some nights we go dancing, some nights we go watch a movie, some nights we go out for a dinner, some nights we go to a pub, some nights we do a happy hr, some nights i cook a delicious home cooked meal with candlelight. i think that all date nights are good as long as you don’t get stuck in a rut of doing the same thing. the point of date night is to rekindle and talk and enjoy each other’s company. so if all date nights = sitting on different couches and eating different foods then it no longer feels like a date night but an every night.

Lol I have not had a date night since my daughter was 3 months and now she is 2. People say have date night at home when the kids go to sleep but then the hubs falls asleep and then there goes the mood. I am trying to line up a babysitter for at least a once a month outing. Wish me luck and good luck to you
