Welcome back!! Have you signed up for the FREE 5-Day Manifesting Breakthrough Challenge?! .

This was the day before the big day.

Our flight wasn’t until 4:30pm because John had classes in the morning.  So that gave me plenty of time during the day to die from anxiety fuss and check and recheck everything.

I straightened my hair and gave myself a manicure and pedicure to kill the day and at 2:00pm our cab came and we were on our way.  Our wedding weekend had officially begun!!

Everyone in the airport saw the big davids bridal bag and gave us congrats and well wishes.  It was a sweet surprise.

After checking in I was kinda nervous about being able to stow my dress in the cabin of the plane.  I figured at worst I’d just place it lengthwise in the overhead compartments.

And if not I was 100% okay with laying that bad boy on me like a blanket for the 5 hour journey (i kid you not).

Luckily, a sweetheart of a flight attendant comandeered an overhead area for my dress, and she stood guard during boarding so nobody would put anything in there.

  She needs a raise.

After a safe flight we landed in one of our favorite cities!  Vegas Baby!!! Woot woot!

We got the car, and went straight to the courthouse to pick up our marriage license.  We registered online to make it quicker in person because we figured it would be packed.  The courthouse website even said, you may be waiting for 4 hours, dress for the weather because you may be waiting outside.  HA!!

We were in and out in 8 minutes.

We met up with John’s mom, brother and sister in law, starving, and we had dinner at Bellagio’s buffet, which was AWESOME!  Please go there next time you’re in Vegas.  We have been meaning to go there for years, and we always forget or make other plans once we’re in town.

I forgot to buy my flowers to make the bouquet/boutonniere, we just checked in to the Westin and went to bed.

I tried to sleep….I really did.

I have to laugh, because I didn't realy realize the date you got married…I had said before that I would love to have a crazy 8 wedding, but that would have been back in 2008…."Crazy 8's!"

And hey, you went to the Westin? That is a super sweet hotel chain. I've only been lucky enough to go there once for a conference with other teachers…it was so much fun!

Anyways, enough of my rambling…congratulations once again, and enjoy your new life as a "married" woman 🙂

Thanks! We got the westin by chance (cheapie too). I used priceline. We booked this weekend as our scouting trip, and decided to get married instead well after it was booked.
We did our ceremony on 10/9 (my antibirthday john called it). We beat the rush of 10/10/10. That sunday we were seeing brides everywhere though!
Thanks again for the well wishin!
