Welcome back!! Have you signed up for the FREE 5-Day Manifesting Breakthrough Challenge?! .

Well, I’ve been remiss about putting up hair posts but you guys sure let me know you want em back!

So, as a lazy starter hair post, here’s my vacay hair/reggie for a few weeks ago in playa del carmen.

I went down there with my hair in 3 fat braids.  They quickly got messy from being in the water.

I shampooed daily while down there due to the salt water and chlorine, and when I conditioned, I let some stay in most of the day.

What I didn’t do this trip that I usually do, is DC.  Usually I would DC almost every night to attempt to counteract all the abuse it received during the day, but alas, not this time. 🙁

I wore my hair in wash n gos, braids and buns primarily.  For wash n gos I used Mixed Silk, the Sallys version of Mixed Chicks.  It. Is. The. Bomb.  I like it better than Mixed Chicks and I’ll post a review of it soon.

Here are some more hair shots:

wash n go fully airdried

3 braids
side bun and a goofy fake smile
this is how i pinned my wash n go up to take a shower

i may or may not have worn this victorian lookin hot mess to lunch

mixed silk wash n go (pre victorian pin up)

wet braid w/ braided front

this is what i did post beach most days, low bun and a swingy scarf

Your is gorgeously delicious! That color really makes it delicious. 🙂 Have you ever tried henna or just regualr dye? I'm totally getting color and I can't wait til my hair is this length. I'm giving myself two more years, but hopefully it'll get there before then. Was this after the cut?

    @Nini – thanks boo!! 🙂

@Love and Tangles – Thanks! Yeah I love the red, but I think I'm switching it up come fall. Yes this was June, I cut in May. You'll be knee length before you know it! 🙂

Have you ever done a top knot/ high bun. I am curious what it looks like on your hair.

Lol….was the "knee length" a short joke? Oh, I love it! You sure we haven't known each other in a previous life? J/k…but you sound like my friends. I've been trying not to color (or cut) at my normal 2-yr [itch] mark, but no thanks to you, I'm definitely getting highlights now. 🙂

Beautiful styles. You've given me some ideas. I wish I could braid like you though.

@Keya – I cannot braid at all. My mom did those, the middle one unraveled in my sleep (when they were new) and I halfassed got it back together…u can see the damage i caused.

My hair is screaming at me to tell you thank you!!! I believe it's crying coconut oil tears of joy!I love the three braids but I couldnt pull it off due to some lite edges (darn you childhood pigtails) I loved the wash and go too!!! So I'm off to get some generic mixed chicks lol! Thx for posting…
