Long Natural Hair Conditioner Reviews
I’m using up all my conditioners before I purchase anything new. I am co-washing my hair for the summer so they’ll get used up pretty quickly. Once they’re used I’m going to buy conditioners I know work well with my hair, from the cheapest: Vo5 Moisturemilks to the more pricey: Nexxus Humectress.
Here’s what’s in my bathroom to get used up:
Ok so granted the photo is of shampoo, but what I have is the Nacidit Olive Oil Rinse. I bought this years ago at a dominican salon, and then every year when I’d go to D.R. I’d bring back a big ol’ gallon of this stuff. It was AMAZING on my hair. Super slippy and my hair would be so soft.
Well, they musta changed the formula or something because this no longer gives me that good slip, and the consistency feels different. It gets a C. 1/4th of a bottle left.
Another no-slip conditioner that doesn’t work well for me. I bought it because after coupons it ended up being 49 cents. I stocked up, thinking I’m getting a bargain, and now I’m stuck with this bootleg condish. 2 bottles left, and they’re both 2/3rds filled. It gets a D-
Now, I love my Vo5, but this Silky Experience Champagne Kiss is not the move. It doesn’t have the same slip as the Moisture Milks line. I bought it because it was on sale for 77 cents. I stocked up, and I loved it because it smells like the taste of a pink starburst. Yum. But it doesnt work so well. It gets a C. I will finish my last bottle in 2 more co-washes.
This CRAP cost $23! It looked like it was going to be a winner. It’s thick, smells great, slathered on nicely. But ultimately didn’t penetrate very well. It had a bit of slip, but not much. It didn’t leave my hair feeling very soft. I use it now as a leave in before mousse for a wash n go and I like it for that purpose. But, I won’t ever buy this again (even if I have a gift card which is why I got it in the first place) It gets a C. I have about 1/4 of a bottle left.
