Change your Language, Change your Life

Did you know that if you change your language you can change your life?

So I’m on a new kick.

I’m into the law of attraction and part of that includes positive self talk and trying to choose my thoughts and feelings.

So my new kick is I DESERVE.

When I start thinking something negative or procrastinatey…. I tell myself I deserve ____.

For Example:

When I don’t want to tidy up the house, I’ll think: “I deserve to be in a neat and tidy home”

When I don’t want to work out, I’ll think:  “I deserve to have a fit and healthy body”

You can apply the I DESERVE thoughts to any aspect of your life.  It works for me, hopefully it’ll work for you too.

Also, today I was listening to a seminar from Christy Whitman (You can listen to it for free here:

and she mentioned changing “I have to” to “I get to”

I read about this a while back but forgot it.  So now I’m going to add “I GET TO” back into my life.

You use it similarly to the I DESERVE.

Instead of saying “Ugh, I have to go work out later”  it’s  “I get to work out today!!”

I’m sure it sounds super simplistic, and it really is, but it’s a nice reminder that we control our thoughts and feelings!

Change your language to something more positive and you’ll change your life, bit by bit.
