We celebrate anything and everything at Chuck E. Cheese’s and here’s why:
Because, I am lazy.
That’s why.
Seriously, Chuck E. Cheese’s makes my life so ridiculously easy. They handle everything for your celebrations (or just random fun days out).
Listen, my life is a Pinterest fail. I can pin pretty kids party setups all day long. Can I execute them? Nah. I mean….it won’t be cute. I prefer to let the mouse and his staff do all the work. Food, entertainment, and activities all in a safe environment where I don’t have to clean up after? Yes please!
We celebrated Kaya’s birthday, Rohan’s birthday, and Jax…for no reason really, at Chuck E. Cheese’s this year and I loved it each time.
When I was a kid we went to Chuck E. Cheese’s and boy oh boy has it changed. It’s so updated and high tech now. I love that I can give the kids their play points for games/rides on their own individual card and not worry if they lose it. Tokens are almost phased out. They have unlimited play now, and even have “All You Can Play” Wednesdays. For Rohan’s birthday we went on a Wednesday evening and had the place to ourselves!
For birthdays I love how easy they make everything. You can reserve your party online, get special packages like a VIP one where you have the whole party area to yourself for an hour, and you just have to show up! No bringing anything (unless you want to). They’ll even provide invites if you want them to.
I’m no good with planning events/parties. I enjoy the final result, but it’s stressful getting there for me. Then, I’m so worried about hosting that I don’t enjoy it til near the end after everyone is fed. You see how I ended up just going to Vegas to get married, right? #Easybutton
Kids love it. They go crazy running from game to game, to ride to ride. I love how there’s the little kid section and the big kid section seperate. I can play with them and take breaks in the surrounding seating/table area and keep an eye on them easily. After they’re all tired out from running amok…Pizza time! They put up no fights with eating their Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza, which, by the way is pretty yummy. So are the pretzel bites.
When we went in March we were on our strict paleo eating plan and I was scared I’d just starve, but they had a pretty robust salad bar with grilled chicken so it’s not just “party” food there. And if you’re a weirdo like me who needs coffee at all hours of the day, they’ve got the Keurig ready to go.
I love being stress free for things like this. I’ll be doing Chuck E. Cheese’s for birthdays, random celebrations until the kids have had enough and are like, “c’mon mom, we’re 25 years old, enough already.” Ha!!
Have you been to Chuck E. Cheese’s recently?

I don’t blame you. Might as well let the mouse do all of the work!! My how Chuck E Cheese has changed! No tokens? Unlimited play? Wow. My earliest memory of Chuck E cheese is being terrified of the characters. I loved it, but I was that kid afraid of everything so I would hide in the bathroom until I didn’t see them out there anymore.
