Welcome back!! Have you signed up for the FREE 5-Day Manifesting Breakthrough Challenge?! .

The new year is right around the corner. Time for that “fresh start” that comes with January 1. I love setting goals for each new year, and I always set a resolution or two as well. My children even set some resolutions this year if you want to check those out. *wink* Health goals are always top of mind for us as adults, but let’s incorporate the children in them this coming year.

Here are 3 healthy resolutions to set for your children:

1. Eat More Veggies

This is a biggie. The nutrients that veggies provide are essential for growing our little humans. All parents know the drama that can surround eating veggies. If your children put up a fight, try hiding veggies in their favorite foods. I pop veggies in the blender and mix into pasta sauces, ground beef for meatballs, muffin batters, etc. They get the nutrition and I get to avoid a fuss.

2. Play Outdoors More Often

We’ve all heard it: Kids get too much screen time. Kids are always playing video games. Kids are addicted to their tablets. etc. I believe there is value in screen time, but outdoor play is crucial. Being active outdoors, running, jumping and climbing are childhood essentials! Let’s resolve to spend more time outdoors playing and enjoying the fresh air and vitamin D. Bonus: Giving your children more time to play outdoors will wear them out for bedtime much faster than screen time will.

3. Be Diligent about Brushing

I remember my little cousin saying “they’re just baby teeth!” when my aunt was getting on her case for not brushing. We know we should brush our children’s teeth twice a day, but maybe we let it slip a few times when rushing kids to bed. This year let’s resolve to be more diligent about brushing morning and night (and after lunch if you’re a real go-getter)! If your little one is resistant to brushing, try Orajel’s fun toothpastes and brushes. They make taking care of our children’s teeth much more enjoyable for little brushers.

I’m excited to partner with Orajel™ as a Smilehood ambassador for 2016. Orajel is one of the most trusted brands of pain relief and oral care solutions for babies and young children and we have used it exclusively for Rohan and Kaya from the teething tablets, to the finger toothbrush to the toothpastes they fight over. I’m joining forces with several moms to share about oral hygiene for our little ones as well as our experiences with the brand.

This post was sponsored by Orajel but you already know everything above is 100% me. Visit Orajel’s website to peep their extensive product line and get tips on keeping your children’s teeth healthy so they can smile on!
