Well…I’m 26 weeks pregnant with baby #2! Although I’m up 18 lbs, I feel 100 lbs lighter. We visited the high risk doctor yesterday and he was awesome. He basically was like don’t worry about anything. You’re fine, the baby’s fine. I’m still on the no exercise, no sex, no runnin’ around like a maniac thing, but he said not to worry if I cramp, and if I have slight/mild spotting. Just take it easy for a day or two. So glad I don’t have to go running to the hospital every time I see a speck of blood!
He also said my doc got me worried for nothing, re: my friable cervix. Some folks just get friable simply because they’re pregnant. It’s in the range of normal. What’s most important is my cervix is closed, and long. If bleeding gets worse then I go in, otherwise I’m free from worry! Hooray!!
We got to skype with Bunny (aka BabyH2.0, aka Newbaby, aka KarateJones) at the doctor, and I just lost it. She was just finished with her karate practice and was ready to take a nap. She yawned and was basically like, get that sonogram thingy outta my face. I think I even caught a mean side eye… 😉
I’m really grateful that she’s doing well, and I’m doing well.
Actually I’m really itching to run. Weird right? But I can’t. I’m going to do some very light yoga and that’s it. Basically just some stretching.
OK, so the recap:
Check me out at 25 Weeks Pregnant with Rohan.
Week 25 was pretty good actually. I didn’t have much cramping at all, but my mango juice craving returned full force. Last pregnancy I was downing mango snapples, mango nectars, etc. like my life depended on it. I think this time will be just the same. I had zero spotting, and my mood was basically periods of lethargy with periods of feeling like….
I officially hit 26 weeks yesterday!
Here I am 26 weeks pregnant with Rohan.
How Far Along? 26 Weeks 1 day! 14 (ish) weeks to go! Holy crap! 6 and a half months preggo!!
Symptoms: The main gripe I have these days is the pain. Cramping, pelvic pain, skin stretchy/itchy pain. Ugh.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 18 lbs gained so far!! (I had only gained 14 at this point last pregnancy) Little bunny is about 14 inches and weighing just under 2 pounds!
Maternity Clothes: My maternity clothes are getting used for all their worth. I am currently wearing non maternity leggings and I’m glad they fit well under the belly. I was going to order some leggings that go over the bump but now I don’t have to.
Stretch Marks: Not sure but I think I may have gotten more on each side 🙁 I’m still using that Bio Oil though, and praying!
Sleep: I’m not sleeping well at all. Turning over sucks. I can’t get comfy. and If I wake up…it’s over. 4am and I are becoming good friends.
Food Cravings: Mango and other sweet fruit juices. Limey pad thai, spicy anything.
Best Moment This Week: Rohan feeling his sister move a lot, and saying “WOW, WOW Mama” Then he did a spin move that was too adorable for words. And of course, the sonogram yesterday, seeing my lil nugget in all her glory.
Movement: I know this kid is going to be bouncing off the walls just like her brother. She moves a lot. I got a few “earthquakes” from her.
If you don’t remember, this happened at 25 weeks preggo with Rohan:
I shoot up out of sleep, and look around for anything shaking and about to fall.
Me: John wake up we’re having an earthquake
John: No we’re not, go to sleep
Me: (shaking john) We just had one, it’s over. I felt the tremors!
John: We definitely did not have an earthquake!
Me: Well what was all that shaking then?
John: Your imagination!
Me & John: Die Laughing
John: Go to bed
Labor Signs: none! and I don’t want any until after 37 weeks!
Belly Button In Or Out? Out as ever.
What I Miss: Sleep, glorious sleep!
What I Am Looking Forward To: Touring the hospital, finding furniture for this little girl and finding a way to make it fit in her and Roey’s room. (Big Decision: 2nd convertible crib or move Roey to a toddler bed and give Bunny his crib?)
Milestones: Deciding on my birth. I’m going to just go with a repeat C-section. I don’t want to deal with any possible scariness or another emergency one. I’ll be able to mentally prepare for this.
Weekly Wisdom: My weekly wisdom came in the form of me dropping a lot of things from my to do list and feeling GREAT about it.
