Here is my belly from when I was 18 weeks pregnant with Rohan.
This week was rough, I’m cramping and really achey all around my tummy but moreso at the bottom. It’s getting worse :(. My pelvic area and hips are super sore and achey too. I had slight spotting and some cramping, but was a lot less scared about it than I was when it happened pregnant with Rohan. If I cramp or spot anymore my midwife said I’ll be going to visit a high risk doc just to make sure my cervix is OK and he/she will then be a part of my ongoing care. She told me to ‘take it easy’ but that’s not very realistic right now with my tornado toddler on the loose.
I was a little fearful of moving to FL right as my 3rd trimester starts, but now I feel like it’ll be the hugest blessing despite the stress of having to change medical providers. I’ll have lots of help with Rohan and will really be able to “take it easy” especially if I end up on modified bedrest or true bedrest.
Anyway, on to the survey!
How Far Along? 18 weeks and I am ready for time to speed up.
Symptoms: Itchiest belly in the world, heartburn, super tired, pretty forgetful, big painful boobies (This is exactly what I wrote at this point last pregnancy!) also, hungry and thirsty.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am up 5 lbs and I’m sure next week I’ll be up a million because this hunger is no joke.
Sleep: It’s so uncomfortable. Mama needs a body pillow. I use my regular pillows all over in front and back and try to stay on my side, and then I wake up on my back a million times a night.
Food Cravings: Hearty, salty things, briney things like olives and capers. Cereal. Cinnamon Toast Crunch to be exact.
Best Moment This Week: Yesterday’s nap is the first thing that comes to mind. Is that pathetic or what?! LOL
Movement: I am feeling some flips and flops, but not as much as Rohan at this point.
Labor Signs: None and hopefully not for a while!
Belly Button In Or Out? Oh come on.
What I Miss: sleeping well, pooping well, moving well
What I Am Looking Forward To: The Anatomy Scan of course! And being able to do a gender reveal.
Milestones: I am 4 and a half months along now, that’s my only milestone…I think. Oh, and it’s been almost a week since my last vom session!
Weekly Wisdom: I have no wisdom to give because all of my brain cells have evaporated. I forget everything and “ummmmm” is my new most uttered phrase.
