::sigh::
Well, I decided to go red instead of jet black. I figure I’ll do color instead of cutting to change things up since I’m kinda hair-bored. I used Textures & Tones Ruby Rage….
And I was hoping for results similar to what this girl got:
I am not happy with the results, but I’m not gunna kill myself about it either.
Outside of the fact that I missed huge sections of hair and have black areas, the color just isn’t what I wanted. I think I’m going to just DC a couple times this week and re-color it next weekend. We’ll see.
Here goes:
if it all came out the color it is here, I’d be fine with it |
I hate how the roots in front are a decent color and then the back is just blah brown |
Ultimately, I wanted something more vivid and vibrant. And I definitely need to have it more uniform. I wanted to avoid going to a stylist for this, so I’ll see about fixing it next week, and if not, I’ll let a pro correct the mess I’ve made haha.
I think it's gorgeous 🙂
Oh Amy, thanks so much! I know it's not the end of the world, I'm just disappointed that it's not the results i was hoping for.
I think it looks BEAUTIFUL!! I really like the different dimensions of color.
i really like it, it looks great on you
Oh thanks ladies!!
I love the color!
You have to remember that your roots are completely virgin hair. They haven't been exposed to as much abuse as the rest of your hair. So you have to dye from the ends up. Which is hard with hair as long as yours but the only way to really distribute color evenly. Also, with colors that vibrant I find that putting on a plastic cap and sitting under the dryer gets you closer to the color on the box. Hope that helps a bit!
the color looks very nice to me.
Actually your color looks good. I have seen females with a light color up top, with the neck area totally dark. It looks good on them and it looks good on you. I think if it was lighter it may be too much.
Thanks so much for the comments ladies! Great tips stacey!
Lovely colour, I added colour myself to my hair. I love the change. It looks so lovely.
WHY DIDN'T YOU USE BODY ART QUALITY HENNA (www.mehandi.com). CurlyNikki raves all the time about hennaing. I've tried it and LOVE it too and I'm really sure you'll get what you're looking for!
