Well it’s official. We’re starting the potty training process! I’ve got a few potty related books, I’ve got the potty (that Rohan calls “pot pot” hehe), I’ve got the patience (kinda), I’ve got some Pull-Ups® Training Pants for later, and most importantly, I’ve got a cute lil 18 month old man who comes to me after he poops giving me the sign for “change me.”
I’m nervous about the potty training process. I asked my mom what to do and she said, “I dunno, I sent you and your brother to your grandmother. She did it.”
So I did the next logical step…no…not research on my own…I went to social media. 🙂 I asked for tips on how to get Rohan to let me know before he makes number two instead of after. I got a few helpful ideas, but most of the responses were “Oh it’s too early, he’s only a year and a half. Boys are later than girls…”
Thanks social media.
So finally I decided to research on my own and I got a lot of info and tips and ideas. On the Pull-Ups® Training Pants website I found a readiness quiz, and other tools like a prep list and progress chart that are going to be super useful during this potty training journey.
Rohan got the green light from the readiness quiz! And I checked the prep list and am getting myself together. I know it’s going to be a long road ahead, but the sooner I can get him trained the better! Any tips for me?
My goal is to have him fully trained by the time he turns 3. I don’t know if it’ll go down like that, but that’s my intent. I’d like to have him actively asking to go potty before he poops when he turns 2.
The Pull-Ups® site has some cute activities for reinforcing the good potty training actions too. I’m hopeful. Because boy oh boy, two babies in diapers….no thank you.
If it’s time to start potty training your baby too check out Pull-Ups® and their website. They have a whole range of helpful Pull-Ups® like “Cool Alert” that tells your child that they’ve had an accident. And, there’s even an app for when you’re out of the house.
Here’s a coupon for you!
