Oh girls, I feel like I’m getting nothing done…but I know it’s ultimately OK. I’ve got what matters.
I just wanted to share the nursery progress. It’s s-l-o-w going, but I’m getting there.
John put the crib together a while back and last week the mattress came in. I was so happy to be able to put on the Skip Hop Treetop Friends bedding set on it. And put Embry’s little animal buddies in there for now. Yes there’s a bumper and no I don’t want to hear your mouth about it. He’ll be sleeping in his pack n play in our room anyway LOL. The crib is just for show for now.
We were planning on getting a dresser the same wood stain as the crib…somehow we ended up with Orange when we opened the box….I don’t mind one bit. The height is perfect for a changing table for John’s tall self.
This handmedown glider was given to us by John’s sister, doesn’t match, but free is better than matching! We’ve started Embry’s library too.
The closet is stuffed with items we won’t need right away (like handmedown 2T, 3T clothing), and some of the heavier clothing items (and robes)
I finished my lil artwork project, and also have the wooden name sign letters painted, but not showing those until after he’s born and we reveal the name here.
His other wall art arrived the other day. I cant wait to put up the decals!
- a closet organizer thingy
- a bookcase or some shelving things
- to put the artwork on the walls (gotta get John on this asap)
- to paint and put up the corner shelves above the glider
- this boy to be born so we can use this room!
I’ll get around to everything…eventually..
