I think this is going to become a series because I keep trying new stuff and getting these mini obsessions and forgetting to share it with you all. Here are my faves from last month:
Shea Moisture Body Products:
I kinda told you guys a lil bit about this stuff before. I’m really impressed with the Shea Moisture body products. I used the bar soap before and loved it. It was super moisturizing, lasted a long time and smelled great. Plus it had no yucky stuff in it. Now we’re using the body washes on Roey and picked some up for ourselves. We smell delicious!! I used the Shea Moisture hair products for a while and liked them, so I’m glad the body line is greata for us too.
Healthy Hoo Hoo Wipes and Washes:
The folks at Healthy Hoo Hoo sent over some washes and wipes for gentle cleansing of…your…lady parts. At first I was nervous to try it just because I feel like I can be extra sensitive in that area, but I’m glad I did. The wash is truly gentle. Doesn’t have any yucky stuff in it either. The package says:
- No harsh chemicals: no parabens, alcohol, sulfates or dyes
- Ultra-mild with a touch of aloe for moisturizing
- Fragrance-free, Gluten-free, Vegan
- pH balanced so they won’t remove what Mother Nature put down there
- Tested on gal pals not animals – “Leaping Bunny” certified
If I were still working 9-5 and going to the gym on my lunch hour I’d totally keep the wipes in my bag for days I couldn’t shower right after. For home use I’m really digging the wash, and I love that there’s no strong scent.
Old Navy Compression Leggings:
I basically live in these leggings. I have them in full length and capri, and wear them all. the. time. I love them and am always singing their praises…. So much so, that when I complain about “having no clothes” John knew exactly what to buy to shut me up. But seriously, they’re the best leggings ever. They fit well, hold up to a million washes, are actually LONG, are true to size, and because they’re compression leggings…I swear they keep me warmer than regular leggings. Plus…I’m convinced they make my butt look better. #winning
That’s not the real name, but it’s those rubbery teething thingys. They have allowed me to stop saying “NO Biting” to Rohan, and just give him a chomper to satisfy is bitey needs. I feel for the kid because he’s always gnawing at something, but these “chompers” keep him satisfied for longer than anything else has so far. They’ve got different textures, and different stiffness levels of the plastic/rubber stuff, so when he wants something different he can just rotate it until he finds something to soothe him. It was hard finding something that he’d actually chomp that he was allowed to, so these things are a god send.
Lia Naturals Shea/Coconut Oil:
My hair usually hates shea but it is loving it again now. This moisturizer actually… moisturizes! I used it once when I first got it, and then kinda forgot about it. I pulled it out recently and it’s totally in my routine now. The consistency got weird, I’m guessing because it’s all natural and now the coconut oil is liquid since it’s warmer. But it still works well and emulsifies easily in my hand. I am a fan of this brand in general and now happy to have a “new” product to use.
