Well, I didn’t tell you guys, but for the past 5 weeks I have been going to interviews at a large pr/communications firm. I got an offer letter from them last week! I’m really glad. The position sounds interesting enough, and I won’t be just a robot, I’ll get to use my brain and do some research and writing! Yay! And double yay for being able to save up that much more for baby to be.
I met my mentee on Thursday, and it went really well. A: she’s adorable B: she’s driven C: she laughed at my jokes. I think we’re going to get along well.
iMentor uses dating website technology to match up the pairs and I think they really did a good job. It’s a 3 year match and she’s in 11th grade now so I’ll be helping her through the college process and her first year there. I’m TOO excited. 🙂
Oh! And best part of the night. She says to me: “I’m so glad you’re not wack, I don’t know what I would do if I got a wack mentor” I got a lil choked up! I’m not wack to a 16 year old. hehe (somebody tell my brother plz)
Speaking of my brother….
My little man is growing up! On Saturday he turned the big One Five!
This kid is the greatest. He’s smart, funny, talented in too many ways, thoughtful and inquisitive and just an awesome dude.
I don’t know how we’re related.
When I was 15 it was all, sneaking out, smoking pot (oh shutup!), finding boys with cars, shopping, and praying my mom left for work before I had to get to the bus so I could play hooky from school.
My brother is all, AP classes, never playing hooky, thinking about college, doing ivy league summer programs, writing stories, playing sports and still has time to play video games. What a showoff!!
Congrats to Katie who gave birth to gorgeous, healthy baby Caleb this weekend!
I’m on freakin baby overload! Everyone is having a baby. If I know you in real life or in blogland it’s likely you’re pregnant, have an infant, or are on your way to getting knocked up as we speak! What the hell is in the water?! And boy oh boy do I wish I was drinking it too 🙂
Have a kickass week ladies. What are you grateful for? What are your goals for the week? Let’s stay accountable and have awesomely productive weeks!
