Long Natural Hair Straightened with Maxiglide
So, I’m shooting all weekend, and I needed my hair straight since that’s the look they cast. I’m really trying not to use heat these days so I was REALLY nervous about straightening my hair again. The last time it was done, I got heat damage from the hot comb the stylist used (VID). But, I sucked it up and used my beloved maxiglide to do the work.
I washed with some leftover mexican shampoo who’s name I forget right now, and I DCed with heat for 1/2 the day using Fekkai Shea Butter DC. (Review coming up next)
I applied coconut oil and then let my hair airdry in 3 big twists, then loosened the twists so it could fully dry.
This is my hair after DCing, it’s towel blot dried with no product in it yet.
I just couldn’t wait to finish before peeking at the length. The second picture here, I cropped at waistlength. Looks like I have about 2 inches to go!
Trying to show that “swaaaang”
Overall I’m really happy with the results. It had movement, it was soft, it didn’t take too long…ok…it kinda took a while… but still! The end product makes me happy 🙂
