Girls, I am so glad I had the opportunity to review this product line!! Lia Naturals is the truth!! I now have a new favorite soap!
It is the Bentonite Clay All Over Cleansing Bar…and it is AMAZING. I received it over a month ago to review, and waited until I used it long term to do this review because I wanted to make sure it is as awesome as I thought it was. And It Is! It washes away clean, but doesn’t leave you feeling tight and dry at all. The scent is natural, which is great for me, because if I use something on my face I don’t want any fragrance in it. It doesn’t suds up into a huge lather like some soaps, which I personally appreciate.
I was nervous putting this on my face because my skin is SUPER sensitive and acne prone, but I didn’t have any poor reaction and it washed away so clean. I’ve replaced my cetaphil with this soap. So far my skin is looking and feeling great! No new acne flare ups! I have yet to try this on my hair, but I will on my next wash day. I love that the soap is from head to toe use.
Lia Naturals also has a charcoal soap that looks promising. And other soaps that look like dessert!
And happily, the prices are great! I love finding smaller, woman owned and Black owned companies, but they tend to have inflated prices. Lia Naturals is well-priced and worth every penny and more!
I also tried the Lia Naturals Detangling Conditioner. Right off the bat I was excited to try it because on the website I saw:
This Product Does NOT Contain:
~Animal By Products
I used it after shampooing and it worked well. It was better than just “OK” but it wasn’t amazing. I’ve gotten more slip with other products, but this conditioner gave just enough slip to work well. I am holding on to this until I stop my post-partum shedding so I can try it again. It’s hard to judge this detangling conditioner under such severe/abnormal shedding and knotting circumstances. It’s just not fair.
The conditioner rinsed out easily, and didn’t leave an icky coated feeling on my hair, but didn’t leave it feeling as well moisturized as some other products do. I’d definitely recommend this conditioner for women with fine, thick hair, any type of curls, but not if you have hellishly, chronically dry hair like mine. If you do have very dry hair and use this conditioner, be sure to follow with one of Lia Naturals’ awesome butters. They look so rich and creamy!!
When I place my order to re-up on that fantastic bentonite clay soap, I’ll be purchasing some butters as well (And I’ll report back to you on how they are.)
The Lia Naturals website is really informative too. All ingredients are listed, as well as info on how, and how often to, use each product.
One lucky reader is going to get one Lia Naturals soap and one butter of their choice!!!
And….if you’re not the lucky winner, don’t you worry.
