Remember I told you in my first Holiday Hair Post that I was going to straighten for Christmas….
Well, I did….
Have you ever seen The Little Rascals?
You know where I’m going with this…
Now, if I’m honest, I can only blame my technique, and length of hair, because my beloved Pantene had my back, front, and edges.
Here’s what I did:
- Pre-pooed with coconut oil
- Shampooed with Pantene Expert Collection Keratin (from my stash)
- Deep Conditioned with Pantene Truly Natural Deep Conditioner
- Rinsed and squeeze dried
- Applied Pantene BB Creme
- Let air dry, then…blowdried (fatal. flaw.)
- Flat ironed (not with Maxiglide – fatal flaw part deux)
- Looked in mirror
- Had heart attack
So, I immediately co-washed with Pantene‘s Truly Natural Co Wash and then applied their BB Creme and scrunched and let my hair be.
I’m going to be looking exactly the same as usual for Christmas after all 🙁
I guess I’ll wait a couple months until I have a tiny bit more length, and will not blow dry. I never blow dry…I have no idea why I decided to try something new. And I always use my Maxiglide. I just figured I’d try the regular flat iron to be quicker since my hair was so short…. #FAIL!
At least I used great products. My hair has no heat damage at all from the blow drying or flat ironing, thank goodness. It curled right back up perfectly springy and coily.
So, my straight holiday hair attempt was a fail, but no real damage was done.
