Today I went to the gym for the first time since starting the new routine. John came with me thank god. I’m still too scared to do free weights alone there. Even with John there the guys are just starey and wierd. I gotta get my gym confidence up!
So here’s my today:
3 sets of 8 of the following:
Full Squats: 20s in each hand (i’ve started to love full squats…they hurt so good!)
Walkin Lunges: 22s in each hand – (this isn’t on the plan given to me…i just like em)
Shoulder Press: 15s in each hand – (i fuckin hate these, they’re the devil)
Pullups: Assisted with 55lbs 1/2 my weight (this was the first time I ever used that machine, I think I’ll try with less than 55 on wednesday)
Chest Press: first 2 sets with 15s and last set with 20s (my arms were not as wobbly!!)
Tri Pushdowns: 20lbs (this was my first time doing pushdowns too)
Bi Curls: 10s in each hand (I think I’m going to go up to 12.5 next time for at least one set if I can)
Calf Raises: first 2 sets at 70, 3rd set at 90, then I just wanted to try to see if I could do 150 (cuz John said it looked like it was too easy at 90) and I did 5 at that weight and probably could’ve done a couple more! So, I think I’ll start higher on Weds
Butt Blaster Machine: 70 lbs (this isn’t on the plan either, but it was right next to the calf raise machine….so…)
Hanging Ab Curls: (is that even what they’re called?) I did 3 sets of 10 normal and 2 sets of ten crunching to each side.
Oh and I was resting about a minute and a half to two minutes between each set.
I’m happy with today’s workout.
Tomorrow is cardio. I think I may go for a run outside since it’s so freakin gorgeous out!!!!
