I finally straightened and I’m excited to see that I’m almost hip length!!
I’ll be able to claim it in an inch or two I think!
And then I’ll chop it off to donate and start all over again lol.

Gone! It started at about 3 months post partum and started slowing down around 6 months post partum. I’d say my shedding got back to its normal rate around 7 months. As for the places where i lost hair (read: the hairline/temples), it is starting to grow in, slowly but surely.
Well, it looks like my current new growth I’d say the past month – 6 weeks or so has been growing in at my normal texture/curl pattern. It’s really hard to tell because of the length but as it grows I’ll be able to see better. It’s going to look weird having curly hair, then a wavy bit, then curls again. I’ll be chopping a lot off anyway when I donate so hopefully it’l look less….odd.
I dyed back to black….if you ever hear me mention coloring my hair again…please slap some sense into me. thankyouverymuch
I’m heading toward hip length!! Slowly but surely! On a hair forum I frequent, the ladies call the space between waist length and hip length “purgatory”….it can feel like it sometimes… but it’s inching lower and lower!
I’ll be sticking to my regular regimen of weekly washing and straightening. Just the products will change depending on what I’ve been sent for review, or what I purchase. Oh! One change I’m doing is full day deep conditioning every other week. Today I used Soy Oyl and kept it on my hair for 9 hours (no heat, just went about my day). My hair felt great afterward. (I’m currently airdrying in braids and will flat iron tomorrow. I’ll be sure to post a straight hair length check when I do straighten.)
That’s it for now!
What’s going on with your hair for March?!
I need to get a trim and make my ends look cleaner, but here is a quick length check to see where things stand with my hair:
You can see the two toned hair thing in these pics, the brown under layer…
I’m happy to see that I’ve passed waist length and am making my way toward my hips. Of course, being who I am, I keep daydreaming of chopping it all off and rockin’ a short cut. ::sigh::
I’ll be back with posts of substance and inspiration soon!
And stay tuned for the site’s new look! I can’t wait to see what the designer comes up with!
So this is my starting point for 2013. This length check was a long time coming.
I feel like I can officially claim waist length at this point.
My hair was in a bun, that’s why it’s all clumped together and wavy.
You guys are gunna have to help me refrain from cutting. I don’t know why it is, but whenever my hair gets to a longer length, I fantasize about chin length bobs. I hope to grow it out for 2013 and then chop it all off to start “fresh” in 2014. Let’s see how that goes….
