You girls already know about my baby pneumonia.
I’ve now joined the justmommies forum and am learning SO much there. I also checked out the pregnancy section of a forum I frequent (not baby related) and the women there told me to check out this book:
And to check out FertilityFriend.com
Now at first I thought it was all to see about how to help you get pregnant asap, but I learned that through charting your body temperature and monitoring your cervical fluid you can also successfully avoid pregnancy as well!
That means I’d be able to get off of the hormonal BCPs (birth control pills) and stay baby-free until our desired TTC (trying to conceive) date.
I read it’s great to get off of BCPs for several months before you want to start TTC…. is that true?
I’m not sure I’ll get off of BCPs right away though.
I’m going to read this book front to back and research a bit more first. Right now, besides keeping me baby-free, my BCPs give me much clearer skin, lighter/less painful periods (tmi?) and also give John humungous ta-tas to enjoy. Those are some excellent benefits.
I can’t wait to get this book and start learning more.
I was all excited so naturally I went to tell John.
Here’s our convo:
Me: Babe guess what, I’m gunna stop the pill soon and start fertility charting, it’s an all natural way to prevent pregnancy and when we start ttc we’ll know when is our optimal time!
John: Oh yeah? You know what they call people who do that charting stuff right?
Me: (surprised that he knew what I’m talking about) No? What do they call them!?
And with that he left the room.
I couldn’t help but laugh.
Have you ever read this book? Do you/did you do charting before you got preggo? Howd it work for you? Any charting tips you could give me? or other books to read? sites to visit?
