Overall, month two as a beachbody coach was a serious challenge. I had to struggle to find balance….and I’m still tryin to find it. I’m taking it easy on myself because I’m dealing with a new baby, a sharknado, and all the other aspects of being a wahm and grad student. All the things I learned in month one was put into practice and I’m learning where my strengths and weaknesses are. Also noticing where I can improve on what is currently being done within the larger team I’m a part of.
My Personal Health/Wellness
I recently got the “go ahead” to workout from my doctor so I started the T-25 program and it is HARD! But i love it. I also started eating clean, and as of this past week have cut out red meat from my diet, cutting poultry soon. Not for weight loss, just for overall health (sidebar: did you know I used to be vegetarian for 5 minutes?) I drink my shakeology every day and I am seeing more and more benefits of it. I feel like it helps me with my energy trying to chase Rohan around and satisfy Kaya’s needs. I’m convinced it’s helping me with my milk supply, and it’s definitely keeping me regular. #hallelujah!
As a life coach and former personal trainer (waaay back in the early 2000s lol) the beachbody set up is perfect for me! I get to help people change their lives through fitness, personal development and nutrition all mushed together. And I love it! I have a challenge group running now and the girls are just great. They’re having successes, are very engaged (it’s easy since it’s all done online) and encouraging/supporting each other. It’s really wonderful to see. I’m also participating in the group so that adds a nice dynamic.
I’m ready to start another group just on clean eating and shakeology because a lot of the people I spoke with last month didn’t want to do an at-home fitness program. They did zumba or other gym classes but they wanted nutrition help. So I’m working on the content for a clean eating group now. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I didn’t know what to expect with this aspect of beachbody, but so far so good. I’m kinda being picky with the coaches I invite to bring on board now. I had one person just stop coaching due to her schedule, and a few other people who seemed interested but I told them they may not be a good fit for my team. (They just seemed to view it as a get rich quick opportunity or something – this is FAR from that lol) I have a core group of coaches that are super into fitness/health and seem really dedicated to learning the business side of beachbody as well so I’m psyched to be a good leader for them. I’m copycatting my coach in many ways. She didn’t get to the top for no reason!
Financially, I hear stories and see proof from both sides of the coin. Some people claim “it’s hard” “you can’t make money.” And some people post their earning reports where they’re making 1200 per week after just a year in the business! I don’t know what I’ll be earning in a year, but I made about the same amount as last month, and with dedicated, part-time effort I’m able to supplement my blogging/writing income. I realize I need to figure out a workable schedule and balance the blogging and the beachbodying asap because I don’t want either to suffer.
Stay tuned for Month three!! Hopefully it keeps getting better!
