There is so much stuff that NEEDS to be done surrounding the arrival of my lil Baby H. I’ll post on that later because thinking of it just overwhelms me. This post is about the stuff that I just WANT to do. I have a few lil baby projects I’m working on and will work on once he’s here.
I started an email address for Embry once I knew we were pregnant. I email him photos, updates, sonogram pics, details on the pregnancy, thoughts his father and I have for him, etc. John writes to him too. My plan is to update it periodically as he grows up, noting all his special developments, milestones, birthdays, etc. and then when he’s older (18 maybe? 21?) give him the username and password and let him read through the letters and photos.
I’m making a scrapbook with one of those kits. And I’m making an un-scrapbook with an online program. This blog is going to also serve as a real-time scrapbook of sorts for extended family to keep up with Embry.
We’re still sooo not unpacked. The nursery still needs so much to be done, I can barely think about the wants. But, wall art in the skip hop treetop friends theme is definitely in order. And I already told you about his name on the wall.
Outside of keeping a scrapbook, I’m going to do a few photo projects. I’m definitely doing the monthly growth photos for his first year. I’ll probably prop the boy up somewhere and use a chalkboard to record the month, similar to this:
The other monthly growth photos I’ve seen have the baby wearing a onesie with the month on it….that’s an option too.
The other photo project I’m doing will be for the wall. I want to do a cluster of framed images including a maternity shot of John and I, Embry’s footprints at birth and a photo of his little tootsies, as well as a variety of photos of him during his first year.
Did you/Will you do any baby projects?
