(How huge are my boobs? Seriously. John’s going to be mad at the world when this pregnancy ends.)
6 months! Wow. 4 months left. It’s bonkers to me how time is flying. (Tho it doesn’t feel like it midweek when I’m at work plugging away and bored to death) I’m happy time is passing and I can’t wait until I’m full term and then can’t wait to meet my little guy and snuggle him, smell him, stare at him and love him up.
How Far Along? 24 Weeks 1 day!!! 16 (ish) weeks to go! (2/13/12)
Symptoms: Crying at the drop of a hat, heartburn like crazy, hunger attacks and cravings, pelvic pain like a muuug, fatigue like I dunno what, peeing all the time.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 13 lbs gained so far!! My baby is growing! He’s about a pound now!
Maternity Clothes: Same sitch. Some non maternity shirts that I don’t mind stretching out are in the rotation again tho…like the turtleneck in the pics above.
Stretch Marks: Not yet, still fighting stretchmarks as best I can. I am determined to win the war. Got my magic “potion” from my friend Reicha, so far so good.
Sleep: I’m not sleeping well at all.
Food Cravings: Spicy, flavorful stuff, Peanut butter and jelly, huge glasses of Milk and OJ, pad thai w/ lots of limes, everything bagels with cream cheese and tomatoes….yeah…nothing’s changed there.
Best Moment This Week: My mom getting to feel Embry move. My dad getting excited about my belly…but pretending that he’s not.
Movement: My lil man is a real mover and shaker! I think he’s gunna be a good dancer despite his father’s genes.
Labor Signs: none!
Belly Button In Or Out? 1/2 out…let’s see how it goes.
What I Miss: My goddamn pelvis feeling normal, Eating w/o heartburn. Feeling light and agile. SUSHI god dammit. Living a life without aches and pains. The ability to move quickly.
What I Am Looking Forward To: Meeting our doula. Touring the hospital. Hitting 7 months and 3rd trimester.
Not looking forward to: Glucose test on Thursday.
Milestones: 6 months!!
Weekly Wisdom: pillows make sleeping bearable. a bathroom close by makes work bearable. a husband who knows when to shut up makes life bearable.
Any advice for me at this stage in pregnancy?
