Rohan seems to really enjoy music (Thank God for Pandora.com!) and storytime (until he gets sick of my voice) so I was really excited to get the opportunity to try The Magic Continues CD by Golden Records.
Do you remember in that movie A Christmas Story when Ralphie and his lil brother were sitting in front of the radio just staring at it while listening to their favorite show?
Well, that was Rohan, my mom and I when we tried out the Golden Records cd. We were rapt! Alicia Silverstone, Susan Sarandon, Didi Conn, Cheryl Hines and other celebs tell classic stories and sing songs on this cute children’s cd and we were hooked.
I remember having all my cute stories on tape when I was a kid and I’m glad I can pass the tradition on to Rohan with the Golden Records stories. I’m a fan.
He’s too young to get the full awesomeness of the CD, but he’ll grow into it. I’d say the CD is perfect for a child of 2-5. The stories are read so entertainingly, and the actors do a good job of switching up their voices for each character, and there is this light music played throughout as well.
Rohan really liked the Yankee Doodle track sung by Didi Conn. (PS: Did you know there was a second verse to Yankee Doodle?!! Thanks for teaching me something Golden Records 
) I sort of wished there was another music track like it on the disc. His other fave seemed to be the ones read by Ed Asner. Maybe it was the deeper voice he enjoyed?
Either way, this CD is a keeper and I can’t wait for Roey to get a little older and enjoy it even more. I’m so grateful I was able to receive this review copy!
