Did I Say May 1??

Did I put my self-imposed shopping ban on from January to May 1st?  Or did I say April 16th?  I really think I meant to say April 16th no matter what the old post says.

Yeah…um….I failed.  BIG TIME.

I had planned to just buy a new button down and slacks for work to mix in with what I already have.  I told myself I’d spend $80 max.

Somehow I found myself going from store to store online and spending a lil over a grand instead.

So…yeah…not really the plan.

BUT I did get great deals and use ebates and mr. rebates!!!  lol

Seriously, if you find prada pumps and chloe dresses for 99 bucks, you’d be a fool not to buy ‘em.

Fine.
I gave in to my impulses and went buck-nuts.
I’m counting on the fact that probably only a third of what I purchased will actually fit well and I’ll want to keep, in which case I’ll return all the other pieces and end up with net spending of something reasonable which is totally not bad considering I actually needed appropriate work clothes asap.


At least that’s what I’m telling myself.  
If by some wardrobe miracle everything fits well and I love it, I’m up a creek.

I like creeks.

Anyway, look at some of the cute worky hedgefundy stuff I bought.

Everything here cost 109 to 229 full price, I paid $39 or $29 for em  Yippee

Those finds were at K&G.  I’m in love. I also got some open front cardigans there for $7!!!

Then I went over to OldNavy/Gap/Banana and got:

Oh yeah….and….some vacay/summer stuff too.  I forgot to mention that bit.

Then I went to Forever for some disposable clothes…but ended up finding some things that (cross your fingers) may actually be keep-able for a while!  I’m not posting all the pics here cuz it’s just too much stuff and I’m lazy.

 Ooops…How’d that get in my shopping cart?! I can’t wear that to work!

Here’s what I love about Forever21…I got a total of 18 items and it all added up to $224.  That’s ridiculous!! (They had some yellow tag deals on maxi dresses for $10.  Come on!!! I’d be losing money not buying it! )

And….then…. I may have gone to JCPenney and got a bunch of stuff there.  JCPenney is where I’ll probably end up returning a lot.  The pieces there usually look great but then fit me all awkward.  Sucks.  But I got 11 pieces for $220 which is kinda gratifying.

I only bought from stores where I could bring the returns directly into the store.  That way I won’t be tempted to keep anything that I’m not 100% in love with.

I went to my stalker’s site too, but I didn’t buy anything. (But i stuffed the hell out of my wish list)  I wasn’t able to convince myself that I needed the bras, panties and bikinis right now.  That’s something…right? 

I know I should be disappointed in not making it 2 more weeks until the official end of my shopping ban…but I’m totally not.  I love a good deal….or 40 good deals.

So new shopping ban will be imposed on June 1st  (I’m giving myself til end of May to get vacay and summer stuff)  and last until November 1st.
