Hey everyone. I had a wonderful weekend, even though I feel completely drained right now (and I’m not really sure why).
On Thursday, I had dinner (and a lil shoe shoppin) with my two best friends from H.S. (one of whom shares 9/10 as her birthday) whom I miss dearly. It sucks how friendships loosen, but I’m determined to keep these two knots tied tightly!
On my actual B-day, I didn’t do much. I went for the best run ever (I love when the weather gets like this) and John made me a yummy dinner from scratch of Kung Pao Chicken and Fried Rice. Deelish! And I totally vegged my birthday away (and loved every minute of the laziness) at night since John had to work. (PS – He’s learning. This was the first birthday that he got me flowers and a card first thing. I was stunned… It only took him 9 years lol!)
On Saturday, I picked up my dress from David’s. Tried it on and the top bit actually fits PERFECTLY! I just need the bottom taken up a few inches. I wish the dress came in petite, because I’d probably not have to do any alterations at all. (I may add some bling to the top of the dress tho..we’ll see) I took it to my parents house for storage and my dad MacGyvered a black plastic bag case for it to be hung in the attic.
Saturday night, I worked. A friend of my cousin (and her older sister) was born on 9/10 also, and she had a party she wanted me to shoot for her. It was a nice event and I gave her a deeply discounted rate because she’s friends of the family (and maybe also because we share a bday…i’m just sayin) and she paid me more anyway! Ka Ching!
On Sunday, I spent the day with my parents, got my gifts from my super spoiling aunts in Florida, and just lounged around with my mom dad and bro.
So the weekend wasn’t exactly jam packed, but for some reason I’m tired from all of it.
The week is shaping up to be fairly active too.
Two interviews today.
One at a huge investment bank, and one for a smaller company. Then tonight is a bridal event.
Tomorrow John’s taking me out for my “birthday” dinner.
I have a grad school info session at NYU for the program I’m interested in on Wednesday, and on Thursday, I have the training for the mentoring program I’m volunteering with.
