I had my 15 week appointment with Dr. Bradley today!
John was super cute, he asked “Will we be skyping with Embry at this visit?” I love how a sonogram = skyping in his mind.
Well, we sure skyped Embry all right, we found out he’s a healthy baby boy!
He’s grown SO much, it’s really incredible. His spine looked so freaking cool! He was kicking around in there, and his heart was just a pumpin’ all strong. His lil legs were longer and arms too! It was amazing. I was just in total awe of this magical little life chilling in my guts.
According to the 106 women who voted in the Baby H Gender Poll, 35% thought he was a boy and 65% thought he was a girl! (Thanks for voting ladies, it was fun seeing what you all thought!)
I had no preference of girl or boy, but knew I’d be excited either way. Once she said 90% boy, all images of my girly stuff just slipped right out of my head. My first thought was the games I played with my little brother when he was a baby, and stepping on his action figures, dodging his pee when I changed his diaper….(he caught me once…right in the mouth)
John’s first thought was (and he said this to the doctor) “Yes! He can protect his little brothers!” I’m like…..a) why are we assuming I’m having 3 children, b) why are we assuming they’ll all be boys? and c) why are we going there when #1 hasn’t even popped out yet?! ::sigh::
Our anatomy scan is January 19 so we’ll be able to see his parts much better. I can’t wait. I’m so excited to “skype” with this kid again. I wish I had an ultrasound machine and doppler in my house so I could just watch lil man hang out all day.
Well, I know I’ve been a lazy blogger this week, but I’ll be posting my 15 week update tomorrow w/ a belly pic. (This morning I’m getting dressed and John gasped (like an excited child) and shouted “You’re Showing!” and pointed at my belly.) I guess it’s finally noticeable to someone besides me! 🙂
